FYLA will participate in AIDA 2020

We are very excited to announce that we have been granted funding within the strategic project AIDA 2020 at European level in the field of semiconductors, more specifically in lines of particle detectors and sensors.

What is AIDA 2020 project about?

The AIDA-2020 project brings together the leading European research infrastructures in the field of detector development and testing and a number of institutes, universities and technological centers, thus assembling the necessary expertise for the ambitious programme of work.

Who is involved?

In total, 24 countries and CERN are involved in a coherent and coordinated programme of NAs, TAs and JRAs, fully in line with the priorities of the European Strategy for Particle Physics.

What does it mean for FYLA to be part of the AIDA project?

In FYLA we work with global technology leaders in the development of new semiconductor characterization techniques with an impact on the future of health, communications, and defense and security. Therefore, being part of the AIDA project, which has been endowed with more than 10 Million Euros, will have a positive impact on our activity. In addition, being part of this project will help us increase our network with top-level contacts and collaborators such as CERN among others, which is a great opportunity for the entire FYLA team.
